Medak: In an announcement expected to bring joy to the state’s farming community, Finance Minister T Harish Rao said on Wednesday that the state government will implement the loan exemption program and provide funds for double houses on the land of the beneficiaries in 2021-2022. post fiscal Ugadi festival.

Addressing a rally after the inauguration of 48 double houses in the villages of Chatriyal and Gajulagudem in Papannapet mandal, the minister said the TRS government has made every effort to continue all social assistance programs despite the fact that there was a drastic drop in revenue generation on account of the Covid-19 pandemic during the current fiscal year. “The state government was unable to implement the loan exemption program and the construction of two-bedroom houses on the land owned by the beneficiaries due to this problem, but these two promises will be kept after the Ugadi festival. The TRS government has never compromised on social assistance schemes, ”Harish Rao said.

Stressing that no other government or state center has implemented such projects as Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyana Lakshmi, two-bedroom houses, free 24-hour power supply, among others, the minister said said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has always wanted to see community farming and the poor lead decent lives.

Since the government was planning to impound the Singur project with Godavari water with the completion of the Sangareddy canal under the Kaleshwaram elevator irrigation program, Rao said farmers in Papannapet can irrigate their crops twice a year. District Collector S Harish, MPP M Padma Devender Reddy and others were in attendance.

Earlier, Rao inaugurated the 132 / 33KV substation at Chinna Shankarampet at a cost of Rs 12.38 crore.
